Hey there looking for some advice on behalf of my mum.
My mum lives in council housing with a back garden which shares a fence with her neighbour. trees from my mums garden were cut by the neighbour that overhung into their garden but have then dumped all the cuttings on my mums side of the fence. what's followed is a back and forth of the cuttings being thown back over but now the neighbour has contacted my mums housing association.
the neighbour lied and said my mum cut them and threw them over and the association has told my mum she needs to pay to remove them (money she really doesn't have). she has contacted the association to explain she didn't originally cut the branches off and it was the neighbour but they've told her they won't change their mind.
from what i've been able to look into i'm under the impression that with the right of abatement the neighbour was in their right to cut the branches overhanging into their garden but that they are responsible of disposal of the cuttings.
any advice would be GREATLY appreciated
