COUNSELLING ELIGIBILITY

This post is mainly made for science students (PCM/PCB/PCMB) and the respective counselling we will be participating in soon. However, at the bottom I've roughly mentioned the aggregates at which other UAE based universities one can likely get scholarships.

DASA COUNSELLING:

  1. For the General/OBC category, one needs to have 75% and above aggregate in total. Passing Physics and Maths is mandatory plus one technical subject which can either be- Chemistry, CS, Biology, B-Tech. One language subject (ideally English) is also considered if one has written exams for more language subjects, one with the highest score is considered.

  2. For those who've gotten compartment in Physics/Maths or have scored but fail to meet the 75% mark, you can still participate in the DASA counselling only if you're giving improvement exam. In this case, NTA will use a combination of your previous and after improvement exam marksheet for you to meet the 75% criteria.

MCC/STATE COUNSELLING:

This is for the students writing NEET to get courses including- MBBS, BSc, Nursing, Pharma etc

  1. Minimum of 50% aggregate in PCB class 12.

  2. It is also mandatory to pass English subject.

  3. NRI's must prepare for a NRI Eligibility Certificate, usually issued by the Indian Embassy if seeking admission through NRI quota.

GENERAL CHANCES OF SCHOLARSHIPS (UAE):

BITS: Offers scholarships upto 40% for first year tuition if aggregate above 95%. 25% and 15% on 90-95% and 85-90% aggregates respectively.

AUS: President scholarships (upto 100%) for top scorers of gulf. 20-25% scholarships based on high school grades + SAT/ACT (if applicable)

KU & MBZUAI: Full scholarship options for exceptional scores and high scores in English (IELTS/TOEFL/EmSAT)

I've explained what I know to the best of my ability to clear confusions. If anyone knows more, put it down so all can refer to this singular post for uni applications.

HOW RE-EVALUATION WORKS

Since many people on here are very confused, I've asked a senior of mine who gave her paper last year for re-eval (physics itself) and thought sharing here might help everyone

  1. Re-evaluation portal will open within 1-2 days from today, so keep checking the cbse website time to time, or the teacher's group where they put out the cbse updates.
  2. You can apply for re-eval for all your subjects, there's no limit. This applies only to subjects you've written the board exams for, not those for which your school has given you marks.
  3. A mandatory fees is to be paid followed by a registration where you get your application number. A week from then, on the page you've made the payment and registered your details you will see an uploaded online pdf of your answer sheet.
  4. Use the officially released answer key to match with your paper and see particularly where you think you can get marks, or whether there is any place they have missed giving you marks, note down that specific question number.
  5. On the same portal, you will separately see a heading labelled "Re-evaluation"/"Re-correction", this is where you fill which subject and which question of that subject do you want to get rechecked. Only that question will be re-evaluated and you will be charged for that as well.

The fees may vary so we should wait for those details. I hope this helps everyone and clears a few questions.
