Posting on behalf of my SIL. Her daughter is starting MIT in 2026 Fall. If she does pre-orientation, do many parents stay for parent orientation? Is it worth staying for? She can stay in the area and work remotely, but is her daughter going to want her there and/or is it worth attending?

I apologize if this is not an admissions question, but I was debating this sub or the main MIT.
