Confession & Beginner Questions…
I beg for your kindness as I confess, when posts from r/wenwan first appeared on my feed i thought “wtf is this, do people really spend time doing this?!?”.
However, as curiosity got the better of me and i delved into the different threads and saw the beauty of what people had created aswell as the care, patience and mastery people developed I started to become captivated.
Now, a convert, i want a pair, or a few, for myself but have questions.
1. I’ve looked on a few websites and there are different categories such as entry/beginner, premium etc. Is it wise to start with entry/beginner walnuts, or should I go with whatever i like?
2. I have really dry hands, i’ve read part of the jade like appearance forms from oil absorbed from hands. Will dry hands impede the process?
3. There seems a lot to take in, in regards what to look for or avoid when buying. White spots, discolouration, sanded/planed etc. Is there any good sources for price and quality to start looking at where to purchase from? (I’m from the UK but not opposed to importing!)
Really excited to get my hands on my first pair!
