I have about a month left in my current A5 journal book and find myself at a bit of a crossroads. I jumped the gun twice in the run up to my current journal ending — once on a new book late last year and again on a traditional size Traveler’s Notebook that I have paired with, among other inserts, a cut Staology.
I find myself semi-regretting my TN purchase and am wanting to make the TN/Staology pairing work as my next bujo in order to get rid of that regret. However, I am unsure how I’ll like the size difference.
(For reference, I use my journal primarily for work tasks and daily reflection, which I often fit within the same spread, but have an idea for how it can work inside my Staology. I also do some junk journaling within margins of my spreads as well as a few, mostly sports-related, collection pages.)
So I come to you find people: Has anyone made the “downsize” from a traditional A5 book to a slimmer A5 size? How did you find it? Did you go back or stick with it?
(I’ll add one more thing: one reason I’m interested in this downsize is to one day move into a Hobonichi Weeks, or similarly pre-laid out book. I am simply tired of trying to figure out new layouts each week — at least for the time being.)
edit: Specified my interest in one day moving to a Hobonichi Weeks size (or similar book/layout)
