I graduated from college in May 2025 and found a job I currently work at by June. My employer pays 100% for insurance, meaning that not a single dollar is taken out of my paycheck for that. Well, I am about to relocate in June pf this year and I just accepted a job in the area I’m moving to. This is going to be my second job out of college and for the first time ever I will have to pay for insurance. I have three plans to choose from:
Traditional PPO (~$111)
HSA (~$50)
Value Plan (~$38).
All of these are Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. I have no idea which plan to choose. I was originally going to choose the value plan because I’m a pretty healthy person physically, but then I remembered I’m not that healthy mentally. I go to therapy and take two prescription medications for my mental health. With my current insurance, therapy is $25 per session, medication #1 is up to $60 and medication #2 is about $10. Which insurance plan should I choose?
