Donna Noble Check In

So many of you liked hearing about Donna a couple weeks ago I figured I'd give an update. She and her sisters got a new tunnel bed from Aldi (seriously don't sleep on Aldi for the cat accessories) and it's her new favorite thing.

She's still happy, still a menace to society, and is back to demanding butt scratches at 3:30 AM on work days.

(bonus pic of her sister, Mako Mori, forgetting she's not a cat)

The face of a child who went outside, rolled in fresh poop, came inside, and smelled so bad that all three cats ran to find me and screamed cause they didn't want her near them. So we had to have a bath.

She now smells better and is pouting because the cats still don't want her near them.

This is Donna Noble, she is 12 years old this year. She lost her heart dog in June 2020 to leukemia and her adopted mama void in Feb 2021 to kidney failure. I had already adopted a puppy in May 2020 so she wasn't alone, but I adopted another void cat for her in September 2021 in hopes she would feel more comfortable with a similar dynamic to before. She did perk up and when the CDS sent us another orange girlie in October 2023 she started acting a little more like herself.

But in 6 years, she's barely played with toys, has only tolerated her siblings, and no longer let me cuddle with her. She also gained several pounds despite diet and feeding room changes.

Yesterday, she brought me a toy to play with. Then she wrestled with her sisters. After I returned home from errands, she got up on the couch to cuddle with me and the dog. Purring and chattering the whole time. She's finally losing some weight, thank you food changes, and generally is back to being the same loud bossy lady I remember. I thought I'd lost that part of her, but she's so happy again.

Edit: Thank you for the award 🥰🥰🥰 She has spent the last 10 minutes trying to drink my coffee so we're definitely back to Donna shenanigans.
