Career Advice ( what to do next)

I’m currently a B.Com undergrad and my first year of college is almost ending. Right now I’m not pursuing any professional course because I don’t want to jump into something blindly just because everyone else is doing it.

I first want to genuinely understand where my interest actually lies before committing for the same.

Lately I’ve been exploring different things and trying to understand myself better. I’ve also done a couple of unpaid internships just to get exposure and learn, but honestly I still feel confused about what to do next.

One thing I do know is that I genuinely enjoy the stock market. I like reading financial reports of companies, , following global markets, and reading about geopolitics and finance.

But at the same time, I don’t know how to convert this interest into a proper career path or whether it’s even enough to pursue something seriously in finance.

What’s making it harder is that almost everyone around me is already pursuing some professional course like CA, CFA, CS, etc., while I still feel like I’m in the “figuring things out” phase. Sometimes it feels like I’m falling behind.

I genuinely want guidance from people who’ve been through this phase or are working in finance/business roles.

How did you figure out what to pursue?

What should someone in my position realistically do next?

How do I explore finance seriously before committing to a professional course?

Would really appreciate honest guidance or mentorship.
