IIL- If i like Arcane, Ex Machina, and The Last of Us—what else would you recommend for "life"?
Hi everyone,
I’ve realized my taste across movies, music, and games all vibrates on the same frequency. It’s hard to put a single label on it, but it’s a mix of sophisticated grit, urban melancholy, and raw elegance. Think of a high-end hidden rooftop in NYC or a brutalist concrete loft reclaimed by nature.
I’m looking for recommendations for anything in life that fits this vibe. It doesn't have to be media; it can be a specific type of architecture, a hobby, a brand, a philosophy, or even a drink.
To give you an idea of my "North Star":
- The Ultimate Blueprint: Arcane (Netflix). To me, this is absolute and utter perfection. The writing, the visual texture, and the contrast between the golden elegance of Piltover and the industrial underworld of Zaun.
- Sci-Fi & Drama: I’m drawn to intelligent, atmospheric storytelling. Arrival, Ex Machina, Annihilation, I Am Mother, Upgrade, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. I also love the clinical yet haunting vibes of DEVS, Black Mirror, and the survival grit of The 100.
- Games (Atmosphere & Emotion): The Last of Us, Telltale’s The Walking Dead, and Beyond: Two Souls. I’m also into the atmosphere of Cyberpunk 2077,
- Music: A blend of jazzy textures, deep grooves, and raw beats. Artists like Toolate Groove, Tara Lily, and Cihangir Eryildiz. It’s about the emotional depth of the track.
What am I looking for? Honestly, anything that feels "intentional" and "deep." I have a strong dislike for the superficial or the "primitive."

- A book or philosophy that explores the intersection of humanity, technology, or survival?
- A drink or a scent that captures this "clean but raw" essence?
