Steam OS LEGO 2 Q's

I'm aware there ARE posts on this, but times are changing and there was a recent update for SteamOS on the Lego 2.

LOVE this device. HATE Windows. I've tried everything. Xbox full screen experience, debloat, optimize optimize optimize. Getting games to run sucks, doing basic things sucks. I get frozen in Legion Space, lag, crashes, and generally poor performance in games.

I just switched to the Lego 2 Z2E from the Go S Z1E. For the OLED mainly and I didn't want to wait for Steam OS version because of price increases. Luckily snagged the Go 2 for $1349.

Anyway, at this point I miss my Go S because of SteamOS being so fire.

Can someone give me a rundown on how worth it that it is to load SteamOS on the Legion Go 2? I'm perfectly capable of loading a YouTube video on how to actually do it. But what I want to know is if it's a native-like experience. Also, is Steam planning to release an actual plug and play download option for SteamOS alongside the native version or is it always going to be a little third party wonky? Just want to hear from people who have loaded SteamOS on there. I've heard certain functions like RGB and brightness sliders don't work. Do you lose access to LegionSpace? Can you still select how much VRAM you utilize? Oh, and does the fingerprint reader work? Lots of questions. Thanks ahead of time.
