Is a June 10th SPOP reservation window late for an incoming freshman? What did everyone else get?

Incoming freshman here and got my SPOP reservation window assigned for June 10th at 4pm. Curious how this compares — what date did everyone else get? Is June 10th on the later end? I'm a waitlist admit so wondering if that affected my window date.

UCI writing placement portfolio — do I still need to do it with AP English Lang 5 and SAT Reading 760?

Got a 5 on AP English Lang and a 760 on SAT Reading. I received an email saying I need to complete a writing placement portfolio by May 29. Does anyone know if strong AP/SAT scores automatically exempt you or do you actually have to do the full portfolio regardless?

UCI writing placement portfolio — do I still need to do it with AP English Lang 5, AP Lit (pending), and SAT Reading 760?

Got a 5 on AP English Lang, expecting 4 or 5 on AP Lit (scores come out in July), and 760 on SAT Reading. UCI sent an email saying everyone needs to complete the writing placement portfolio by May 29. Does anyone know if strong AP/SAT scores automatically exempt you or do you actually have to do the full portfolio regardless?

Hi! I'm a newly admitted freshman and a California resident, but my ZotAid is showing $85k which seems like out-of-state pricing. My portal confirms I'm a CA resident.

Also, I have no pending documents requested in my portal — no SLR or anything.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did emailing regres@uci.edu fix it? Any advice appreciated!

Got admitted off the UCI waitlist and submitted my SIR today. Housing portal still isn't active. How long did it take for yours to open up after SIR? Also any advice for the housing waitlist as a late admit? Thanks

UCSB seems stronger for CS reputation, but Davis would let me minor in Poli Sci and has King Hall law school on campus. At UCSB, CS students can only minor in History. I care a lot about GPA, pre-law opportunities, and setting myself up for law school. Which would you choose?

CS admit here deciding between a few UCs. Planning to go to law school after, so GPA is a big consideration. I know CS students at UCSB can minor in History — is that doable alongside CS? How manageable is the overall workload if grades matter a lot to me? Any pre-law opportunities at UCSB worth knowing about?
