I got this from another crafter's destashing and I'm on the fence about destashing it myself. It's pretty and works fine, I'm just not sure I'm actually going to make a snowflake shaped votive size candle and I'm not sure it would be something I'd do as a topper like I would a flower. I'm going to destash some other molds I decided I'm not going to use so I just need to decide if this is going in that box or not.

Testing out the concept because I'm trying to get my head around how they function. Ignore the splatter, I just plonked a molded flower on top of a wick test candle I'd burned most of.

Crazy stuff. This is only about 15 minutes after pouring, I could actually see it crystalize right in front of me! GB 464 with Candle Science Amber Liquid Dye 3 drops for 16 oz (worked previously) and High Tea fragrance oil at 7%. Added oil and dye at 180f, poured at 160f in pre-warmed vessels as usual. Lab temperature today about 65f (also typical, it's usually really cold in here). The wax didn't appear to be bubbly and I poured it slowly and gently as usual too. I pour on a silicone mat to keep my marble countertops from cooling the wax too fast.

I know this dye can act weird, but has anyone else tried this FO and know if it acts wonky? If the oil is fine I may just make it in plain instead of dyed wax.

I thought I ordered tart wax but it's pillar wax, and I'm not even liking it for that. This sink hole is crazy and that's just from letting it get cold in the melter.
