Sizing help

I have 2 pairs, both of which fit very nicely when tried in store, and no longer when I put them on at home, which I didn’t realize until I had already taken the stickers off and thus couldn’t return them. For context, I’m usually a size US 9. My first pair was the sneakers which are a 38.5, and they give me horrible blisters every time I’ve worn them. The second pair are the Miss Z and are a 39. These fit perfectly when I tried them a couple months ago, and somehow are now too big and my foot slips out (and my finger fits in the gap). I was overly cautious and I made sure the heels were comfortable and wouldn’t give me blisters because of the sneaker experience, so I tried to make sure it was a perfect fit. I’ve worn the heels only once, and the sneakers only like 3-4 times.

The issue with the heels is if I try using a toe cushion or something like that, I’m afraid my toes will make it look bad, and I don’t want to put something on the heel that is visible either. (I’ve added pictures of how each of those would look)

Obviously I want to make these work because they’re beautiful and very expensive. Is there a way to fix either/both of these issues? Has anyone had similar problems?
