So i'm coming to the end of my first year of sixth form, and ive come to the realisation my supercurriculars are heavily lacking. I've also done better than expected in mocks and so would be able to apply to oxbridge etc if i fancied it (predicted A*A*A), which has really made me realise i need to pick up the pace.
I would really like to study english at uni however my supercurricular list is lacking. Obviously i read, and im currently trying to educate myself on "the classics" so thats something. i also have interest from people in my year about starting a book club, however have been hesitant as i dont know how beneficial it would be to a personal statement, and its a decent time commitment. i have also started writing poetry (ik very cliche) which would be wicked if i could get some published. i also intend on entering some writing comps, however a lot are finished now so thats becoming a struggle. Is that enough? also my school is urging people to undertake work experience relating to people's desired subjects, however am struggling to find something applicable to lit(tried Keat's house but had to be 18). any help is appreciated ❤️
