I made a post on here about a week ago about my doctor telling me I should be miscarrying due to my hCG levels no longer doubling anymore.
I firstly wanted to thank everybody for their advice and knowledge and reassuring me that the hCG was normal.
I had a follow up scan today and measured 9 weeks 1 day, and the baked bean had a healthy and strong heartbeat 😊
Glad I’m able to prove my doctor wrong and relieved that everything is okay!
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all going well.
This is my first pregnancy so I’m new to all the hCG stuff. I had a blood test on the 24th of last month (6 weeks 3 days) and it measured 120,000 (I think). I had another one on the 27th (6w6d) and it was 153,000.
My doctor rang me yesterday to give me the results and she started the phone call with “so you miscarried” I explained to her I’ve had no bleeding and still have symptoms of pregnancy so was confused. She told me that the hCG didn’t double though so I’m probably having a miscarriage. Again, nothing suggests I am. I had my first scan at 6W3D and heard the heartbeat and they said all looks okay.
I’m now 8 weeks today, still no bleeding so i guess im just confused as to why she thinks ive definitely miscarried? Does it really have to still double?
