Bone growing through gum?
Hi, over the last year, I’ve been having the white bump (pictured) grow through my gum. It’s very hard and feels like bone or tooth. It has grown in size, and recently become slightly sharp and is irritating the inside of my cheek.
I have seen both a dentist and a periodontist to discuss this issue. They both said the issue was benign and not to worry as my gums weren’t receding. Still, it’s irritating and painful, and just getting worse.
Should I be worried?
FYI I clench my teeth at night but do wear a mouth guard to try to protect them.
