Hi, I'm a student that studied Earth Systems Science(B.s.) in South Korea and has just finished my mandatory service in the army. I currently finished my 2nd yr of my course so I guess I'm way faar from starting a career but I wanted to get a job experience so that I know what it's like to be a geologist in the future while I take a break from school.
I'm also considering to get an overseas job in the future so I thought getting a experince in english speaking company would help too. While searching my options, working condition at FIFO industry seemed apealing to me because of the high salary(obviously). Also I felt no reluctance to the on-site life style since I was away from home for last 1.5 yr due to my service.
So I wonder if there would be any job for me as a assistance or anything that could be related to my future career as a geologist in FIFO industry. I looked up in seek and indeed with 'Geologist Fifo' but all that shows up says that I'll need at least B.s. in geology but I've seen some others from fifo saying that they worked with geologist that didin't have a degree yet.
So I wonder if there could be a chance for me to get a job too. Should I be applying even if I don't have a degree or should I look for somewhere else?
