Kalsubai Trek From Surat
I recently wanted to do the Kalsubai sunrise trek during monsoon, but found something interesting.
Most trek organizers operate from Mumbai/Pune side. So from Surat, first I have to travel all the way to Mumbai or Kasara, and only then join their package.
Honestly, it feels weird that so many people from Surat love bike rides, road trips, and monsoon travel, but there are barely any organized trekking/community trips starting directly from Surat.
I’ve personally already done treks like:
Kalsubai
Harihar Fort
Kedarkantha
Brahmtal
and have good trekking experience, which is why I started thinking seriously about this.
So I’m planning to start small group weekend treks from Surat itself for places like:
Kalsubai
Harihar Fort
Harishchandragad
Other monsoon treks in Maharashtra
Main idea is:
direct departure from Surat
affordable for middle-class travelers
community vibe instead of commercial tourism
beginner friendly
Before planning anything seriously, I just wanted to know:
Would people from Surat actually be interested in this kind of thing?
Especially monsoon treks/weekend adventure trips starting directly from Surat?
