Built a tool to prevent problems like this - feedback appreciated

Hi everyone - I hired a contractor for a bathroom reno last year who subcontracted most of the work out to other tradespeople. Everything was going fine until the tiler stuck straight onto the wooden window reveal with no backer board. The tiles started falling off not long after, but I’d already paid for that milestone by then. When I brought it up with the main contractor he wasn’t interested in fixing it and took off leaving a half finished bathroom.

I had very little evidence to back me up as most of the work was agreed verbally, over WhatsApp, etc. He even asked for extra money for additional work mid-job that wasn’t on record.

Since then I’ve been building a tool to create digital job agreements for home improvement work. It keeps a live record of everything (scope, changes, milestones, photos, approvals) all timestamped as the job progresses. The tool is built to government standards for digital documents so it holds up if it ever needs to. Completely free.

Fully aware tradespeople have their own problems too, so the idea is that either party can initiate a job agreement and invite the other side.

Would love to get peoples feedback, and what would be needed to make it genuinely useful for both sides? Thanks.

P.S. I know this isn’t strictly DIY but I reckon it counts, as I had to fix the tiles myself in the end! Photos show the process: removed the old reveal, set the new one further back to make room for the backer board, CT1 along the top and so far so good. Feedback on my tiling welcome too ;)

Couldn’t find any trims I liked and wanted something “cottagey”, so my tiler suggested mitred corners… he didn’t disappoint!
