I’m a bit confused about how the lights work in my 2018 Hyundai i10. My Apple CarPlay keeps switching to night mode whenever I turn on my position lights or headlights. I thought I could force it to stay in day mode, but apparently the car tells CarPlay it’s “night” as soon as any lights are on.

I don’t have auto lights, and I’m not even sure if my car has DRLs. If I leave the switch in the 0 position, CarPlay stays bright, but then I’m worried I’m not using the correct lights while driving.

Is it actually legal to drive in the 0 position during the day in this car, and is there any way to keep CarPlay in day mode without driving with no rear lights?
