I'm a 60W in a med det trying to figure out how to get on interesting mobs/missions. I'm aware of the following things to do as a 60W besides the usual weekend drill and AT:
- Deployments to Kuwait, which are very easy to come by. Less commonly, there are deployments to Korea
- ADOS, which appears maybe once a year on Tour of Duty. It may very well be more frequent than once a year, but I've only seen one per year or less. The most recent one I saw was for Korea
- IMA, though I was told there is nothing available right now
I have heard of people tagging along on deployments with other units, especially to desirable locations other than Kuwait, though I have not figured out how to do this. It would be nice to have a different AT location that is not the usual Ft McCoy, Ft Gordon, etc.. I have also heard of people taking administrative roles such as brigade surgeon, though I read that 60W does not qualify. Does anyone have advice for me? I'm fairly flexible and don't have significant restrictions on how much leave I can take from my civilian job.
