Reta causing low T symptoms and raised E2

Background info male 32 years old, 6’2” current weight 235lbs, weightlifting for years. Main goal being increase T levels and improve body comp.

About 4 1/2 months ago decided enough was enough had to focus on my health. Weight had ballooned to almost 280 due to poor eating, drinking, work and family stress. Got on Reta lost roughly 40 pounds in 18 weeks.

Averaged roughly 1800 cal a day, 120g protein, 90g carbs around 50g fat daily. Stopped alcohol completely, focused on diet, gym, water intake and taking Thorne men’s vitamins and fish oil daily.

I had a suspicion I’ve had low T for years after much research. Had been dealing with classic low T symptoms, just chalked symptoms up to be from being fat, and poor diet. I was approved for trt from teleclinic but was hesitant to start, wanted to get a few labs done for better idea.

Tiredness and exhaustion daily, low libido mental clarity declining and even my voice has been cracking badly last few weeks.

One more thing to note is that I’ve had gyno since my early 20s even when I was lower weight, body fat and very fit. About 2-3 weeks ago, I was experiencing some itchiness and tenderness in my right nipple didn’t go away for about a week. That’s what led me to get another test after researching and learning about hormones and low T side effects.

I have test cyp and was prescribed 200 mg a week with an AI. Haven’t started yet but was planning on starting at 100mg week, pinning 3 times a week. Obviously if my E2 was raised being on a calorific deficit and without TRT is it too dangerous to even start with hormones and still being overweight. Why could my E2 be on the higher side, genetics?
