These little flying ants looking guys appeared in my backyard yesterday, mostly on the step? This is my first spring in new home (townhouse) so not sure if this was a preexisting infestation of some kind that went dormant over winter. What are they? How do I make them go away? Do they bite? (Location: Southern Ontario, Canada)

There's no food out there, a bit of soggy cardboard in the blue bin maybe. Nothing out there but concrete pavers and grass. Please I want to enjoy my yard and I don't want bugs crawling on me :(
