Online][Lancer][One-shot / Short Campaign] New Player Looking for Tactical + Story-Driven Game (CST / Late Nights Available)
I’m Looking for an online Lancer game (preferably one-shots or short campaigns to start). I’m a new player but I learn best through actual play rather than reading rulebooks.
I’m available late nights CST, and I’m flexible with weekends depending on schedule.
I’m specifically interested in:
- tactical combat
- clear battlefield positioning
- teamwork-focused gameplay
- story-driven or cinematic moments
I’m not looking for min-max pressure or overly strict rules, just a solid table experience where I can learn the system properly.
About Me
I’m a new Lancer player, but I pick things up quickly once I’m in-game.
I enjoy:
- roleplay / character acting
- tactical decision-making
- collaborative storytelling
- learning systems through experience
I currently have a pilot concept ready (sniper/support style), but I’m fully open to GM adjustments or character tweaks for balance or party fit.
I prefer playing a reliable team player rather than a spotlight-focused character.
Play Style
- Combat: tactical, intentional, not rushed
- RP: present but not excessive
- Focus: learning + teamwork
- Attitude: chill, adaptable, consistent
I like thinking through positioning and coordination rather than pure damage rushing.
Content Preferences
- Prefer standard campaign tone (serious or semi-serious is fine)
- Not looking for NSFW content
- Beginner-friendly welcome
- Comfortable with Foundry or similar VTTs
Experience Level
Brand new to Lancer, but not new to TTRPG concepts.
I understand basic turn-based RPG structure and learn quickly during play.
What I’m Looking For
A group that:
- is patient with a new player
- enjoys tactical combat flow
- communicates well
- is consistent with scheduling
- preferably runs in US time zones or late-night sessions
