Need advice on what to do here.

I am currently interviewing for a pretty senior position at Ebay. I like the team and I’m sure the comp will be above what I currently make.

I just saw the news yesterday about Gamestop potentially acquiring Ebay. I know from whatever finance experience I have that leveraged buyouts of this scale (where the acquiring company is valued much less than the target) usually means bad things for the people there.

Questions:

1- Do you feel that if this goes through, this would impact my position?
2- Would you accept the offer if it comes with a pay bump even with the uncertainty around this issue?
