Playback problems

I post a few days ago asking how I could search my library and control playback from my phone.

Well it seems the functionality I was looking for is actually built into the mobile Plex app.

I am able to start Z Nation, which is on Plex on demand, from my phone without issue. However, if I try to play a title from my library nothing happens.

Just a few minutes ago I tried again. Everything was off. I grabbed my phone and connected to my Roku Ultra and selected The Day The Earth Blew Up and it played. My thought was something must have undated over night. I went back to the main menu and selected another title and now it wont. Plex on demand is working just fine from my phone.

Is there a setting that I'm missing?

I've ran a basic Plex sever for about 4 years . It's just an old Lenovo M82 SFF with 20gb of ram, Core i5-3470, a 1tb SSD and 500gb HDD internally for file acquisition, and 2 5tb USB HDD's for library storage. All of that works well for me.

Over the past couple of years my vision has gotten incredibly poor to the point that I can't see onscreen text well enough to read it from my couch. Even using my PC has gotten so difficult that I've pretty much just asked my SO to download what I'm looking for.

So my question is how can I search my library from my iPhone/iPad and launch titles that I want to watch via Plex on my Roku? I would also like to be able to remote control my PC from my iPhone/iPad in order to acquire files and then place them where they need to be.

I've read a little bit about the *arr stack. I think implementing some of that would be helpful in order to watch stuff that I do not necessarily want to add to my library for the long-term.

I know this is pretty much a three part question but any assistance my fellow Plex users can provide me would be appreciated.

Thank you
