Bought a 2027 Bolt RS at the end of March. My free trial of OnStar One expired last week. According to the OnStar site, the One tier includes the Wi-Fi hotspot, video streaming, games, internet browser, stolen vehicle assistance, safety services, OnStar Guardian App, and roadside assistance—none of which I really give a hoot about, especially at $35/month.

According to my account, the rest of the services below expire in 2034:

Connected Access

  • Vehicle Diagnostics
  • Dealer Maintenance Notification

EV Access

  • Charge Status
  • Plan Routes
  • Charge Settings
  • Public Charging
  • Charge Notifications

OnStar Basics

  • Automatic Crash Response
  • Voice Assistant
  • Navigation
  • Music
  • Podcasts
  • Audiobooks
  • News
  • Remote Commands

BUT, I'm no longer able to plot out public charging locations via Google Maps, can't use voice commands, and can't access Apple Music any longer—these all say "can not access - offline". I figured this was due to the loss of the Wi-Fi hotspot, and thought I would just use my phone as the hotspot, but that did not solve the "offline" issues. I don't understand what the stuff above that doesn't expire until 2034 actually gets me.

Am I missing something obvious here, aside from needing to subscribe to the $35/month plan?
