How often to do weigh ins?

I am just now starting my weight loss journey. I’ve done exactly ONE day of successful calorie restriction yesterday, and already woke up feeling healthier and encouraged to keep going.

But I was already tempted to hop on the scale knowing there’s no chance it will move yet and also could even go up due to normal fluctuation and be discouraging unnecessarily!

Love any tips on how often to weigh to find that balance of motivation vs discouragement!

For reference I’m sticking to 1,500 calories a day which is very do-able for me (F/40/low activity). I know from experience I WILL drop pounds if I stick to that calorie intake. It just takes time to get going, and it hits plateaus of course.

I’m new at this (but not totally new to healthy eating and calorie tracking!) - yall inspired me with the 1,500 goal! It really is….plenty :)

Found this feature to set goals by each meal of the day. I’m someone who does best with some snacks between meals. I also need to be able to EASILY remember the goals as a busy mom of 3. What do you think of this allocation? Give me feedback! Thank you 🫶🏻
