I currently have the 2017 MacBook Air, but with it being almost 10 years old, I want to upgrade to a newer one. I want to go as modern as possible, but they're all so expensive and none of them have the Touchbar, which I personally want real bad. I don't know anything about computers, but what do y'all recommend for things like RAM, SSD, and all that? I've tried looking for laptops to buy but I have no idea what those terms mean. My current macbook works alright, but it only reaches macOS Monterrey, and I can't even download certain apps because of the outdated intel chip or something. I was searching around and I think the 2022 or 2023 MacBook Pro was the last one to have the touchbar. Is that laptop recent enough to still get the newer macOS updates, or should I look for a newer year, giving up the touchbar? Any storage recommendations? I do want a good amount of storage, but I also don't want to have to pay too much for storage. Pretty sure I got the base model, which Apple's website says was 128 gb. Any recommendations for what I should get as my new storage? Also, I have an iphone 14 plus. my phone and this potential 2023 macbook pro would be able to do iphone mirroring, right? like the feature where i can use my phone's screen on my mac? any performance issues with the macbook, maybe an older model or a newer one is more recommendable? also, where should i buy? is ebay/fb marketplace? i'm thinking of buying it on amazon, unless there's any better places? maybe best buy?
