I’m 20 and recently started exploring export business from India, specifically in imitation jewellery. I’ve been visiting local markets like Sadar Bazaar and Karol Bagh to understand products, pricing, and sourcing.
Right now, I’m trying to figure out how to actually get my first international buyer (targeting UK/UAE/US markets).
But I’m still unsure about a few things:
How do you realistically get your first buyer as a beginner with no track record?
Are platforms like LinkedIn/Instagram actually effective, or should I focus on B2B platforms?
Any tips on building trust with international buyers early on?
I’m not looking for shortcuts—just trying to understand what actually works in the real world.
Would really appreciate advice from people who have experience in exports or B2B sales.
