FrazLabs QT-L nugget. Disappointed 😞

FrazLabs QT-L nugget. Disappointed 😞

Hello everyone. Recently I had gotten a FrazLabs flashlight.

Honestly I'm disappointed. The dimming function hardly works. But when it does; the light will randomly go to direct drive/turbo/max, completely forfeiting the analog function of this light and blinding anyone trying to use a small amount of lumens. I have blinded myself many times.

I replaced the QTC twice now. Ive used both button top and flat top 18650 batteries, unprotected. Ive cleaned contacts and surfaces. This thing is so finicky, I'm considering trying to return it.

Has anyone else had such a problem with FrazLabs lights?

Update: I had adjusted the tailcap earlier, by eye with a (possibly) slight improvement, but still is finicky and likely to blind me randomly. I'll have to check the piston tomorrow as I left it on my desk. I'll also contact FrazLabs tomorrow to see what they suggest.

Error code 20, missed scheduling

Hello everyone, my SV08 has been struggling to perform long prints. I've seen error 20, 7, and I think 8. It'll just stop randomly mid-print with an error. My latest print lasted close to 11 hours.

The printer is mostly OEM, but with:

  • OrcaSlicer for slicing and sending files to the printer
  • running latest Sovol firmware on an OEM mainboard (this issue happened previously on earlier firmware versions as well)
  • larger SV08 screen from Sovol.
  • equipped with a Microswiss flowtech hotend with a 1mm nozzle
  • networked through Obico (in Obico, through the Klipper tunnel a message states Moonraker isn't up to date, but I dont think this could be a contributing issue. Correct me if I'm wrong)

So far I've updated firmware (as said previously). I've adjusted my speeds and other printer settings. I've done wiggle test to harnesses (grabbed and bent/shook to check for partial open circuits or shorts). I've cleared out old gcode files and have no timelapses.

The latest thing I've done is twist the two thick wires on the extruder/hotend plugs. I watched a video on YouTube how this could be a factor due to emi or noise.

I am very new when it comes to this level of networking, Klipper, code, firmware and more. I am pretty stuck at this point and need some help from those who are more versed in this side of 3d printing.

  1. did you get this error?
  2. how did you deal with or fix it?
  3. should I go with mainline Klipper?
  4. should I replace the eMMC? This seems like a daunting task since that's getting into writing firmware and more, right?
  5. should I replace the mainboard with something from BigtreeTech? But this feels silly since the mainboard that came with the printer is a 64bit and seems more than capable.

All suggestions appreciated!
