I just wanna show some love to this sub because I been lurking around and looking at post here for a little bit now and seeing people with actual brains and understanding is so refreshing and not to mention the fact my people, the Aboriginal people are not seen as some evil blob and are seen as actual PEOPLE is really nice and refreshing, I spend a lot of my time on the internet when I am not working mostly playing games and scrolling like a maniac and I normally engage with normal content pertaining to games and music and all sorts of pop culture but as an Aboriginal man I also understand that I have to engage with politics because my mere existence is political for what ever reason, so I try to find places to share my thoughts on politics and talk about whats going on or at least see news about it that isn't fucking poisoned by racist comments, I deal with more than enough of racism irl and finding places where I feel human is a bit rough especially in regional Australia but having a place like this, even if it is just online just to discuss politics or see whats going on in Aus and not being told I am "primitive" or any other plethora of racist rhetoric is nice.
