Tips for leasing with Mercedes

Hey everyone,

My wife and I are a single car household in Chicago. We have a 7 year old paid off RAV4 hybrid with pretty low mileage (since we don’t drive all that much in the city).

I know it’s a lifestyle choice and not “financially optimal,” but we’re in the market for a new GLC. I’ve never actually purchased or leased a car myself before (all either hand me downs or in the case of our current car, it was acquired by my wife before we met).

Are there any tips when it comes to negotiating the best terms with Mercedes? We’re most likely going to shift to leasing and getting new cars every few years. We have substantial trade in equity, but from what I’ve read it’s better to put as little down on the lease as possible (in the event of a total loss, etc.).
