I was listening to a recent Maintenance Phase episode. They ("they" don't do workouts, as far as I can tell) said that the pre-workout and post-workout ingestibles are bunk.

Is this true?
I'm an avid worker-outer. I never really got into the sports mixes myself. But I always thought they probably did work.
The MetRX bars did a lot for me, though I don't think they are really pre or post workout oriented.
