the problem in my subreddit is, people violate rules all the time, and if I remove a comment or a post, they become angry and leave a string of angry comments about evil mods on our subreddit, and start cursing in the modmail.

Once I banned a user for cursing us in the modmail because we removed his comment, I was on my phone and I was new to moderating and couldn't find the option to include a comment removal reason, so I just used the 'no specific reason' button, this guy basically went to other subreddits and posted about how evil my subreddit/the mods are and started throwing some serious accusations at us.

Once I banned a user for repeatedly being rude to other users, he basically went to all my previous posts from my history and left serious allegations against me

I want to know from other mods here how exactly do you all remove comments and posts that violate your subreddit rules without having people threatening to sue you daily/creating drama on other subreddits about your sub
