Day 13 building an AI fitness coach for Indians - just shipped a full redesign

Building FitnessChief - an AI fitness coach built specifically for Indians who eat dal, roti, idli, and paneer. Not quinoa.

Every Western fitness app fails Indians because the food database is built for the West. I got tired of it so I built my own.

Day 13 update:

→ 107 visitors

→ 24 signups

→ ₹0 revenue

→ Zero ad spend

Just shipped a complete redesign this weekend - dark theme to clean light UI, new dashboard layout, split login page.

Redesigned my entire app over the weekend - before/after (AI fitness coach for Indians)

I’ve been building FitnessChief for 2 weeks - an AI fitness coach built specifically for Indians who eat dal, roti, and idli instead of quinoa and chicken breast.

The old design was dark and functional but felt heavy and cluttered. Spent this weekend rebuilding the entire UI from scratch.

What changed:

- Dark theme → clean light theme

- Cramped dashboard → spacious card layout

- Generic login page → split layout with brand panel

- Overall feels much more polished and trustworthy now

Still Day 14 with ₹0 revenue and 8 active users - but wanted it to look good before the Product Hunt launch.

Day 13 post launch — doubled visitors, 5 traffic sources, first blog post on Google

real numbers, no fluff.
day 1: 0
day 11: 101 visitors, 20 signups
day 13: 107 visitors, 24 signups

what changed in last 2 days:
X traffic jumped from 11% to 17%
indie hackers started sending visitors
first blog post showing up on google
5 channels sending traffic consistently
started 92% linkedin dependent.
slowly fixing that. zero ad spend throughout.

day 11 since launch.

posted on linkedin at 8:30am with my analytics screenshot by 9pm crossed 100 visitors

for the first time. today alone matched my launch day spike.

what worked:

honest numbers + real screenshot no hype, no fake growth hacks

still at ₹0 revenue but the trajectory feels right.

Stats so far:

  • 53 visitors
  • 16 signups (30% conversion)
  • 8 completed onboarding
  • 92% traffic from LinkedIn
  • Zero ad spend

What's working: honest LinkedIn posts about the journey

What's not: I have under 10 Reddit karma so I can barely post anywhere lol

The app is fitnesschief.app - AI fitness coach for Indians with proper Indian food support. Would love any feedback on the landing page or growth strategy from people who've been through this.

"For anyone who's been through this - when did you launch your paywall? I have 8 active users and not sure when the right time is."
