Listing the waves of COTE scaling

Pictures above pretty much spell out the current state of COTE scaling(Tsukishiro is there cuz according to a theory of Dax he's playing long game to be Koji's bitch in the end). Comment is humorous but not reductive, this is damn near what happens.

I'm boutta start calling the current wave of COTE scalers...the fourth wave. The wave prior the 5th where all hell breaks loose before the ending with wild bullshit glaze.

We are in the middle of fourth wave COTE scaling. This wave is basically where COTE fans DEADASS think Kinugasa and Scott Cawthon are the SAME PERSON dropping clues/riddles every other damn paragraph.

Some don't even believe this obvious bullshit, but simply fall in line purely to dickride COTE.

COTE is NOT FNAF y'all 😂😂😂. It's high-school nostalgia gooner fucking bait with a typical mystery plot mixed with some subtextual strategies to fill up space.

Written exams get no diffed cuz author ain't wasting time on the complexities of solving lebesgue integrals so he just says "here damn".

Special exams have obvious loopholes any mid tier would see and abuse.

Villains all get their introductory season where they aurafarm by doing smart things(Ryuen - Vol 4, Vol 5. Nagumo - Vol 8, Vol 9. Takuya - Y2V4)

Then said villains lose to the typical "I psychologically profiled you thus could predict everything you'd do in 10 different realities" and get no diffed in a fashion where they don't even fight back/showcase their intellectual capabilities of facing off someone in a standoff when it truly matters

Kinugasa is not dropping or leaving "What's in the box" riddles where you have to reread every paragraph. Nor has he even spread some sort of rhetoric like this prompting readers to even do so, dude just says some shit bout his holiday in afterword and mentions something about a future volume then "buh bye".

COTE is VERY on the nose and when it needs to be.. just as mysterious as any other novel, with plans outright explained or eventually explained for the reader.

There is no secret szechuan sauce hidden between the lines. And if there was(and it's credible/can be easily proven) then someone would've explained it by now.

Some have been explained and are pretty damn good. But it's like over time inflation has been kicking in 😂. You'd think someone posted a new doc, a reddit post or something. Nope 😂✌️. They're just gatekeeping and saying "go read the novel fake reader" 💀.

Then you read the novel...and you're like..."Ok I still don't see how Ryuen pushes Yokoya to high diff".

Then they just say "Larp larp fake reader and return to their discord den"

Novel has like bare minimum a dozen volumes left or so before completion yet you got dudes already saying they solved the plot or "completed Koji scaling".

Which other story has fans this deluded? Tell me so I can avoid them!!

Then they gatekeep what they "discovered" like that's what an assured person of being right would do.

"Nah you just dumb bro cuz you would know"

Ever heard of the Feynman technique? If you know then you should be able to explain it! Let us hear your take on what happened supposedly behind the scenes so we can be able to analyze it ourselves and give our judgement!

And I want to also say...if someone is analyzing what happened behind the scenes in a story. That's a fucking theory. Current COTE scaling is literally built on theories.

"But the theories make sense"

Some don't, and even if they did...that's STILL JUST A THEORY. Deadass gonna start calling Dax's version of Ayanokoji "Theory Ayanokoji".

Anyways...here's the waves.

First wave -

"Yeah Ayanokoji's cool and stoic. He inspires me cuz alpha male shit so Imma make sigma edits and 10 min stoicism videos. Plus he validates the ever so *slight* potential I can control others so let's make vids on how to copy what he does to manipulate others. He solos all cuz he looks cooler than all"

Second wave -

"Yeah Ayanokoji's cool so let's take more time to analyze his feats compared to others inverse and crossverse. His not-so-novel school environment downplays his reputation but the verse is actually competent with intelligent moments"

Third wave -

"Overrating feats go brrr. Take hyperboles or metaphors to heart. Transonic to FTL Ayanokoji scaling. Supergenius tier arguments go brrr. Koji can dodge bullets! Denting an elevator or breaking chair = wall level+(lowball) trust!!"

Fourth wave -

Deadass SCP and FNAF fanbase level delusions. Koji predicted everything perfectly from the start of COTE(WHAT?!). Gatekeep 99% of them and refuse to explain

To any COTE fan who hasn't gone past wave 2, just read the novel and chill out.

Stop using the "unreliable narrator" defense for Koji in situations where he has no reason to lie.

And when strategies/plans are explained, understand that as the process unless CLEARLY debunked otherwise in future volumes. And when I say clearly, I don't mean the author writing a line that is slightly inaccurate...as we can tell the difference.

They use chekhov's Gun as an argument, when some things in the story don't even get good payoffs.

Nagumo 👀...Takuya 👁👁...

What we should do is rely on what the story tells us, and stop playing pretend where we act as if we've uncovered everything that's going on.

They've merged what we know to be factual with theories and treat them like they're one n' the same.

Theories are only meant for when something has concluded with room for open ended interpretation.

COTE hasn't concluded. We are stuck with what Kinu has given us and anything beyond is headcanon. Now headcanon is cool...until you try to make it actual canon. And worse.. spread it like a virus misinterpreting the story for alot of people instead of it just being a cool "what-if".

Some of these theories these COTE guys got ain't even the most likely explanation, they're just versions of the story that best fit their narrative they need for Ayanokoji to be as smart as they can make him given the material.

So what should we do when the 5th wave hits? Let it land, let them glaze, then when the dust settles.. fight back. Watch. The same way they did Tomodachi Game..this will go where it belongs.

Haven't been online for 8 hours and there's this whole scaling system + Akiyama heated talk

Never really cared for scaling specifics so I don't really care about that.

And no matter what anyone says I got Comp Akiyama top 1 so I don't care if y'all even say Yuuichi beats him cuz I don't take that shit seriously 😂😂😂. It's like flat earthers I just accept y'all gotta exist somehow.

But this makes the sub a bit more active so I'm all eyes for developments 👀

I think people misinterpret me calling the final twist in DRA2 case 3 "flawed" as a bad thing

In truth, Danganronpa Another 2 Case 3's strategy was the most euphoric I've felt when I understood a strategy.

Only other things that came close for me in terms of pure euphoria from how clever the strats/plot twists are...

  1. Understanding Contraband Strategy for both sides for the first time.

  2. Understanding Akiyama's Gaya Alliance Strat for the first time.

  3. That "one panel" in Liar Game Bid Poker

  4. Bai Ning Bing's plan reveal at end of RI Vol 2.

and a few more..but ya get the point. Alot of strategy or plans in fiction be focused more on complexity, foreshadowing rather than straight up shocking the reader. We need more JUMPSCARE strategies if ya get what I mean. A strategy that comes out of nowhere yet you can see why it makes sense, and if ya let it slide it could be disastrous.

Dangan Another 2 Chap 3's grand reveal had me focused on it for like a couple days, shit was grand. Me criticizing the specifics of the strat isn't me hating, it's me loving it.

Especially when you got weak ass cases IN CANON games...like every other Chapter 3. Only thing that comes close is the Super Danganronpa 2 Case 5 final reveal.

L sitting down like this might actually work

I mean traditional sitting down tends to make it easier to fall asleep no?

No matter what(even if done long term), this act of sitting down makes you fully aware of the moment. I mean your legs are engaged...you're leaning over focused on what's in front of you.

I can see why this could make someone focus more.

Like ever seen a teen girl(or at least picture) in bed texting someone and engaged? Legs tend to be folded up and head hunched a bit into phone rather than casually sitting.

BREAKING NEWS: Light Yagami reveals he fooled the internet into thinking he's top 2 in DN by leeching off L!!

Ladies and gentlemen!

The only SCD character who's:

  1. 99% carried by the only supernatural item in his entire verse which only he has access to

  2. Only manipulation feats being against fodders(Penber, Misa) and people not in right state of mind(Naomi).

  3. Best acting skill feats are C-list tubi movie level acting that only fooled people already biased for him.

  4. Plans only work when his opponents suddenly turn their brain off cuz plot allowing him a smooth ride. Examples include! :

A. L taunting Light in chapter 2 after L Tailor trap to explain what he just did with Lind L Tailor trap for plot purposes, losing the advantage of surprise. Had Kira infact been a grown man with decent income, Kira could have easily dipped the region of investigation and it would be kaput!! L both raised Kira's guard and made the Kanto region specification for Kira's faulty with one brilliant move!

B. Raye Penber freely gives his ID to a mass murdering suspect despite fake IDs being within his arsenal considering even his very fiance has fake IDs

C. Naomi Misora (depressed tho so let's not be too harsh) gets obviously stalked by Light and simply walks with him without even talking half the time. Barely even suspects him given how EASILY she eventually gives her ID to him.

D. L narrows Kira down to a dozen suspects and very strongly suspects Light despite lack of evidence. His grand approach is to slowly gain Light's trust over many months and just pretty much hope Light slips up. But he did a cool test or two on him that raised his suspicion by 3% !!!

E. L gives Light 3 days of freedom with no surveillance, allowing him to ample time to plan against him.

F. L figures out Light's memory gambit yet allows Light(-cough cough- no.1 suspect) to wield the notebook shortly after retrieving it from Higuchi. He doesn't even pay attention to him...as Light fidgets with his watch, pulls something out, stabs himself and writes down a name with blood....all two feet away from L.

Shortly after Light has the Death Note, Higuchi suddenly has a heart attack and dies. This is obviously Kira's work. You'd expect L to instantly put two and two together: "That happened right after I let Light hold the Death Note, and I figured out his memory gambit earlier. This confirms he's Kira." Then put Light into custody. Instead, L pretty much lets Light go free as if he's completely unsuspicious, then lets Light continue his plan, which soon gets both L and Watari killed.

G. The 13-day rule is revealed and the Task Force are fully convinced Light and Misa are innocent because of this, despite the PHYSICAL EVIDENCE against Misa.

Should the Task Force still be suspicious? If not even more suspicious? After all, the 13-day rule is simply not solid enough to clear their names; the Task Force know there are dozens of other unwritten rules, so for all they know there could be some loophole, or more likely, Misa's Shinigami could have just been writing the names for her so Misa doesn't necessarily have to die. It's just not as concrete compared to the physical evidence suggesting Misa is the Second Kira (her connection to Light, her admitting she saw him in Aoyama, killings suddenly stopping for the first 15 days of Light's confinement, and a different Kira appearing right after the 15-day hiatus). Instead, the Task Force are fully convinced that Light and Misa are innocent 1000%.

H. Task Force decide to elect the world's greatest detective's top Kira suspect as the new L with no second thought. Literally brain dead Among Us lobby level thinking behind the team meant to save the world from Kira.

I. Mello not tying up Takada who he pretty much knows to be one of the Kiras. Getting an offscreen death cuz plot.

Why doesn't anyone call them out on this?

I want you check out any COTE doc on a character that isn't Ayanokoji.

Notice how said characters will repeatedly do stuff that "Ayanokoji couldn't see through" or they "reasoned ahead of even Ayanokoji" or "strategy was so concrete even Ayanokoji couldnt stop it" or yada yada.

You get the point. In these docs they be outclassing Ayanokoji and whatever or at least being crystal clear threats to him.

"Yeah yeah Ichinose completely trapped Ayanokoji"

"Yeah Nagumo saw through Ayanokoji holding himself back even though Ayanokoji tried to be undetectable during Old Maid game"

"Yeah yeah Nagumo's plan was unstoppable for even Manabu and Ayanokoji teamed up"

"Yeah yeah Nagumo made Ayanokoji feel so bad he wanted to lock himself inside his room"

"Yeah yeah Takuya was manipulating Ayanokoji"

"Yeah yeah Takuya saw through Ayanokoji's thought process"

And the list goes ONNNNN.

But when you ask the fanboys or even creators of docs the simple question...Ayanokoji vs (character in his series)..winner and diff?

The answer is always Ayanokoji no or low diff. Never anything higher.

Why? Because OBVIOUSLY they want to exaggerate Character A's feats...then introduce Character B(who they really favor) and have Character B completely outclass Char A via narrative instead of what happened then use it as an argument that Character B scales high in SCD.

And we all know who Character B is in this case.

Tomodachi Game fans...this is quite literally how they sent ur boy into the pits of bottom tier SCD.

Repeatedly glazing people like Nagumo and having him beat Yuuichi cuz Nagumo did something cool against Ayanokoji....then have Ayanokoji no diff Nagumo by their own claim...then by chain scaling Koji beats Yuuichi no diff just the same.

This is the literal definition of:

"You can't have your cake and eat it too"

You cant have two incompatible things. You cant have the best of both worlds. You ate your cake, it's gone.

"Oh yeah Ichinose/Nagumo/Takuya/whoever the fuck completely GOT Ayanokoji in this moment for sure but in scaling Ayanokoji no diffs lol"

Want to know the truth?

COTE characters are low tier. Bums. Characters who do basic strategies using the one or two in-your-face expulsion mechanics in whichever exam they're in.

And they are planning merchants. I don't wanna hear none of these guys diss Aizen when the characters in their series do the exact same thing. With their only hope being the endless fans with time to waste making 30 page docs detailing how previous volumes foreshadowed their bullshit "plan".

People claim COTE exams are "non fixed situations" when these are fucking fixed as hell lmao. They literally have entire pages of fixed rules and limits to what you can even do.

Go read Year 2 Volume 3's exam rules explanation in one sitting lol. Seriously take a pause reading this and go read it. Come back and tell me that's not fixed as fuck lmao.

"Oh yeah but Ayanokoji beats Akiyama in NFS cuz (blank) exam blah blah"

What an obvious ploy yet it just passes by un-noticed everytime.

Then they say:

"It's impossible to expel Ayanokoji thus he smart smart"

Dude... the defenses within ANHS system inherently make it incredibly difficult to expel ANYONE without a special exam. So stating that the same applies to Ayanokoji means NOTHING.

Not to mention...that "impossible to expel Ayanokoji" stuff is BS.

As I can guarantee a high tier SCD char should be capable of doing something like Sudo's trial but this time frame Ayanokoji with damning evidence to kick him out for instance. Immediately off the top of my head I propose someone like Kanade to use some ultra deluxe strategy and get this fraud expelled.

Anyways, im out. I think I've called out COTE fans on their BS quite enough.

u/Fit_Veterinarian_729 — 12 days ago

And I stand on it. I was replying to another post then got reminded of how shit this plan was.

Takuya could've easily avoided that plan with his tools accessed and the requirements of the plan contradict themselves.

Getting tired of this "muh he fell cuz it preyed on his psychology bro" bullshit excuse.

Doing twists and turns to calling his crashing "not an anti feat" and really a "tsunami of emotions underneath"...when that's just...how every crash out works??

You literally cant debate COTE fans so don't bother! What would count as an anti feat in another series(for example Light falling for Lind L Tailor's trap) would actually have 10 layers of fanfic defense the author never fucking said. Which is why I give up on debating these fanboys and just poke obvious holes in the plot.

Back to why this plan is dumb and should've failed.

Essentially...Takuya literally has access to RECORDING DEVICES given by Tsukishiro which was established the very previous volume beforehand(which is why Ichika visited Ayanokoji and searched his room in Y2V6).

If he wanted details on what would happen in the student council room that badly. All bro had to do was install stuff beforehand in a clever manner akin to his established deceptive capabilities AND he has access to the student council room via being the literal student council secretary.

This all fits the "Takuya is in some way scared of Koji" narrative that Love letter plan defenders love to rely on. If he's scared why didnt he do that given this shields him far better? Ok moving on.

Ichika herself thinks Yagami is capable of sneaking INTO AYANOKOJI'S ROOM without him even knowing it despite her knowledge of Elevator Boy's superhuman sensory abilities(gotta stop calling some of these stuff "intelligence feats" and just throw them in the irrelevant superpower bin where they belong btw. Cuz wtf is "I can eliminate my presence" or "I can sense someone tailing me 500 m away" and shit).

He had complete access to when the meeting would take place but didnt even think of this.

Takuya also supposedly invites himself to a meeting that (based off the info he has) only Nagumo and a separate person should be aware of given how the letter was formulated.

So he was just gonna be like "Sup y'all" and walk in the secret meeting or just hang out in the hallway(where they'd still see him just loitering?? Nagumo who received it from Takuya wouldn't have been suspicious of that??).

But before the COTE fanboy ends the reading session right there and skips to the comments, it gets worse.

Plan also has contradictions.

COTE nob-suckers claim Takuya fell for it cuz he was too smart to notice the anagram, but that anagram was nothing special to him.

We see him being confused and loud as to why the others couldn't understand the anagram themselves, which contradicts him supposedly thinking this was a 1-to-1 meeting with Ayanokoji. Like literally go on fliphtml(don't waste ur money buying these shit novels) right now and scroll to when Takuya gets expelled.

The entire basis of him thinking it's a "1-to-1" between him and Koji would rely on the anagram being something only he could understand, but as I say earlier...he clearly didnt think that.

Takuya is claimed by Ichika later to have always wanted to fight Ayanokoji in a "round-a-bout" manner and was in fact scared of him...yet this contradicts the love letter plan completely as Takuya would have to literally NOT BE AFRAID OF AYANOKOJI to apparently desire to enter a room secretly with Ayanokoji in there with him to quote "confront him". So Ayanokoji would've needed Takuya to not be afraid.

"Planning - the series" yet all of their plans have such weak methodology the biased fanboys have to step in to make their own fanfics of what happened for it to even make a lick of sense.

Any mid tier also with basic reasoning ability should've also realized that a private love letter being passed around by like 3+ people(He knows Horikita isn't the sender and that someone gave her) before reaching it's destination is suspicious.

Horikita(Ayanokoji's link who Takuya antagonized just 3 volumes ago and has her on a wild goose chase PURPOSELY for her to rely on Ayanokoji to find him) is also an obvious threat who should set off fear alarms.

Also that "handwriting stuff" plan where he supposedly disguised it in ways so Horikita WOULD HAVE to rely on Ayanokoji is also bullshit cuz I'm pretty sure there's a scene where Takuya pretty much showcases how good his handwriting is to Horikita.

ANYONE on a wild goose hunt to the point they are focused on it for weeks on end to obsession would've picked that up and questioned Yagami....so said plan for him using her to get Ayanokoji to come after him is also bullshit as based on his operation she could've easily caught him on her own.

Not to mention Horikita's excuse to not give Nagumo the letter because "She's a girl and it might look weird thus NEEDS a guy to give Nagumo" sounds like bullcrap especially when we know dudes can like dudes(and infact have in-story...pretty sure Hirata likes Koji) so Takuya giving it to Nagumo would ALSO look weird.

And the extra fact that with Suzune being a high ranked Student Council member with the KEY to the Student Council room couldve just entered the student council when she knows Nagumo isn't there(he locked himself in there for a while but evidently wasn't always there) then drop it off on his desk or some shit.

So her "needing a boy with connection to Nagumo" is BS too. It's also far more in-character for Horikita to do just the way I just proposed as involving Yagami would help stir drama as he could just easily not believe her claim that the letter is from someone who isn't her.

Just a bunch of BS like cmon am I tripping for not thinking this is dumb?

If Takuya is as smart as he should be and just uses recording devices...this plan just reveals to Takuya that Ayanokoji planned to disrespect him + take him out in one fell swoop(through simple recording devices he HAS, he'd see or hear Ryuen enter the room with the two cliff victims and even the WR instructors)

Don't y'all dare give this bum "knowledge application" in any versus edit ever again.

The plan didnt work cuz of "Takuya was psychologically disarmed" cope. He was dumb and nerfed.

Ayanokoji literally even states afterwards some "black and white" dumbass binary level thinking that if Takuya didn't fall for the plan he'd do nothing again to Takuya...which would just leave him vulnerable to future malicious plans by Takuya.

Takuya himself IS a threat to Ayanokoji so don't say Ayanokoji shouldn't be or isn't concerned about him...cuz what Takuya and Kushida did in Y2V5 pretty much destroyed Koji's friend group.

Shit verse. Shit story. Shit plan.

I'm deadass read back Year 2 Volume 7 and see that I did not utter a single lie here.
