What’s the hardest part about studying consistently?

Not the “I’m lazy” answer, the actual thing that slows you down most.

Examples:

  • staying focused
  • understanding topics
  • making notes
  • memorizing
  • exam prep
  • procrastination
  • organizing schoolwork
  • too much information at once

I’m researching ideas for a study tool and want real answers from actual students, not guesses.

Parents with kids in school

What’s the most frustrating part of helping them study at home?

Things like:

  • understanding homework
  • keeping them focused
  • making study notes
  • exam prep
  • organizing schoolwork
  • finding good explanations

I’m researching ideas for a small tool that could actually make this easier, so I’d love honest answers

I think people are missing what actually gets marked in the test.

I failed my first test in Joburg and I thought I was driving fine because I wasn’t making “big mistakes”.

What I didn’t realise is they’re not judging “can you drive”, they’re judging whether they can clearly SEE you doing the correct actions.

Example:

  • I was checking mirrors, but not moving my head clearly enough
  • I was stopping at stop signs, but not making a clear full dead stop every time

None of that felt like a problem in the moment, but it was enough to fail me.

Second time I basically exaggerated all the “visible” actions and passed.

I failed mine in Johannesburg the first time and it honestly wasn’t because I couldn’t drive.

What got me was stuff I didn’t even realise they were marking:

  • I checked mirrors with my eyes, not my head → counted as “not done”
  • I didn’t fully stop at a stop sign → even a slight roll is a problem

Second time I exaggerated both and passed.

That’s when I realised the test is more about what they can SEE than how you actually drive.
