I keep finding these old reels cheap at estate sales.

Today I found a couple of rods to put them on. I am curious to know what the wooden looking rod is.

Google image search was not real helpful. I would bet a dollar to a dime that the guides have been replaced.

It almost looks like some sort of cherry wood to me unless it is some kind of funky fiberglass I have never seen before.

The yellow one appears to be an inexpensive fiberglass rod.

The price on the reel was not what I paid for it at the estate sale by the way.

I got both rods for 20 bucks off of MarketPlace.

Now I just need to get my butt to the lake or the seashore.

But off to mow the yard first. 😢
