I bought a 1997 Toyota t100 4x4 SR5 a few months ago that had the engine replaced. When inspecting it I just thought it had the wrong dip stick in it but later on I realized it’s a front mounted dip stick and not a side mounted dip stick like the t100s are supposed to be. So I believe it still has the t100 oil pan but not the side mounted dip stick. So I’ve tried other dip sticks from Tacoma’s and I can’t get any to fit. Is there any way to get and accurate oil reading other than drilling out a new dip stick location.
