partner's career in residency

Has anyone else been through a situation where their partner gave up a job or offer to stay together during residency, only to find themselves struggling in the job market now?

I'd love to hear your advice. How do you stay hopeful? I'm honestly feeling a lot of shame and stress about it.

Just saw the new national nursing workforce projections, and the numbers are striking. By 2038, the US will face shortages of RNs (about 109,000 FTEs) and LPNs (nearly 246,000 FTEs), but for nurse practitioners, we're looking at a massive oversupply: 766,260 NPs for only 437,330 NP jobs.
