I see a lot of people doing Mtech Res. and continue to PhD at IISc (nothing wrong about that really). I rarely see people doing PhD at some other place may be in foreign at a better university or even get a job (may be computer science peeps do get a job).

Do the IISc profs. not give recommendations to their Mtech(Res.) students? Current Mtech(Res.) students please share your experience...
