Funny birth stories

I’m talking to a friend of mine and we are laughing about our birth stories, of course while it was happening it wasn’t funny but now we have a laugh about it and I can’t wait to guilt trip my daughters when they are older lol

What was yours?

Mine was:
2nd baby I was in a stupid amount of pain during contractions and couldn’t even speak, the midwife told my husband “I think she is trying to say something to you” and he leaned closer as I was mumbling something for the third time and he couldn’t hear me so he got even closer and I basically screamed at his face “STOP EATING MY LOLLIES!!!” I’ve planned and curated a selection of lollies to give me energy and he was so nervous he started binge eating it

3rd baby: she was sunny side up which is extremely painful, I felt like every bone of my back was slowly breaking in half, I was screaming like proper horror movie, I don’t even remember what I said but probably cursed like a tradie with a lot of c words flying around. After my beautiful baby was born the pain immediately stopped so I just held her and went back to normal human form again, looked around and asked “what?” while everyone looked like they needed therapy after what just happened

We moved to a house 2.5 months ago and noticed a lockbox on the side gate of the property (very close to the street) that has a key inside, when asked the REA said the landlord placed it there while the carpet was getting changed and other maintenance was happening before our lease started.

We told REA to either remove it or give us the code so we could get the key and keep inside the property. Fast forward 2 months of endless emails and calls (all ignored) the REA finally answered me and said the owner is WILLING TO COMPROMISE and move the lockbox to the backyard instead of the side gate facing the street but the property must have a key inside the lockbox and won’t provide the code to us.

I asked her what’s the reason for this and she said the landlord had issues with tenants loosing the keys before - which doesn’t make sense since the REA has copies anyways. I said I’m home alone with my daughters a lot of the time since my husband travels a lot for work so I’m not comfortable with a lockbox that other people have the code and I don’t. She said the owner doesn’t live anywhere nearby if that gives me a peace of mind so he wouldn’t be dropping by anyway.

Why would he want a key here? Should I push this to be removed or just let it go since it’s so hard to find a rental in Sydney and he might want to get rid of us when the lease is about to expire?
