So the title sums it up. I absolutely love my job, full time nanny to a toddler girl. For reference I'm a female sophomore in college. I'm super close with them, they're great! Not whining about my job. I just feel weird- the other day, the little girl does what she usually likes to do- sprint from her bedroom to her parents right across the downstairs hallway. She thinks peekaboo with doors is hilarious. I usually grab her before she breaks into her parents, we try to leave them alone when they're at home. I grabbed her before she got into their bedroom and thought nothing of it. However, a few days later, I was hanging out with the parents and somehow it comes up, nanny mom saying "yeah you guys almost walked in on us lol". I just felt kinda shocked because it's a smaller home and pretty quiet during the day. I just kinda laughed, and then she proceeded to say yeah we do it all the time when you have her. Like ok I know it's their home, it's normal. I just feel SO weird. Am I in the wrong? I just couldn't imagine being a parent and doing that while I have kids in the house. But who knows. Now I just have an irrational fear she's gonna break into her parents room and make a super weird situation for us all, especially me.
