Is a physical SIM card the weakest link in the privacy chain?
My eSim can't be activated on my Pixel 9 with GOS and my carrier refuses to help me, claiming that it must be my fault for not knowing how to scan a QR code.
Now I switched my esim for a physical sim. But isn't it really easy to remove the SIM and read all the data (at least my phone number which leads them to my full name and adress), even with an active Sim pin?
This subreddit mostly claims that there's no relevant difference in terms of privacy so I'm not sure. But one alternative can be wiped with a duress pin and locked with a password, while the other one can be removed without even turning the phone on, right?
