Have been trading for 15 years so am no novice.
In light of recent Iran issues I've finally lost my patience a bit with news making prices spike.
I have newsquawk which is pretty good.
But just now markets have jumped because UAE announced it's air defences are under attack from Iranian missiles.
This is just an example.of what I'm talking about.
Prices jump then 30 secs later, maybe 1 min I get the news on my squawk.
So my question is, where are the algos (or whoever gets to trade this piece of news when it comes out ) getting their info from if it takes my squawk x amount of time? Is it possible to get access to whatever feeds they use?
At the moment you get a plunge and no context with which to either join in the move or reverse based on your appraisal of the particular news story.
Any info is much appreciated.
