I’ve been relying on this sub for emotional support for the last couple weeks so I figured I should help someone else now! I’m 27F, suffered from IBS-C for years. Every once in awhile for the past two years I will have bright red blood in stool, but I kept ignoring it until it kept getting more frequent. I have also been under an extreme amount of stress the last couple months, which was causing me to simply not eat and lots of nausea (and led me to lose 15 lbs in a couple months as a result). My symptoms obviously had me convinced I had cancer and was worsening my anxiety. So I finally managed to get a specialist and get a colonoscopy booked, which was done today. And they found some small hemorrhoids and minor rectal prolapse, literally nothing concerning. Prep was extremely rough honestly, I have POTS and have been suffering for the past 48 hours, so will be spending the rest of the evening horizontal 😅 I just want to give some hope to people who are expecting the worst and terrified- your worry is totally valid but chances are, it’s not as bad as you think!
