Me and my partner are both leaving for college soon, and I'm worried about our relationship. I have expressed that I am willing to do long-distance, as I think it can work out with the right relationships. For context we've been dating for around 2.5 years now. My partner is saying we should go on our own paths for college, claiming we should focus on our educations and possibly reconnect afterwards. I'm worried this will lead to the end of a relationship I've cherished for a long time now, any and all thoughts are appreciated.
