Hi everyone, I’m having a very similar issue to this post, but I’m using an AF lens. Is this definitely a lens issue? I don’t have another K Mount to test it with but I have been struggling with this for years - sometimes it locks shooting up completely despite lighting conditions being fine for the lens (tamron 28-200mm, f3.8-5.6). The issue feels completely random - even when the modes DO change correctly I cannot use M - only TAv appears when I put my wheel in the M position.
Mainly my question is this: is this a body software failure and I just need to invest in a new camera body, or is it worth it to buy a new lens and continue to use the k-50 body?
This is so weird and I’m having a hard time articulating it, so I’m happy to answer any clarifying questions etc.
edit: aperture block failure? I don't get underexposed images, I get complete failure to fire. Won't focus and won't let me set shutter speed or aperture but will let me change ISO.
