New Hire Sleeping at Office Instead of Going Home? Learning Opportunity
I would rather not disclose where I work but I will say my dear old Uncle Sam has not yet sung his last song (at least not at our parent company). Anyway, a new developer got hired about a month ago and the last week he's been sleeping in the storage room here at the office (USA).
Our managers are Korean so I'm assuming this is to show commitment as he is the newest to the team? I feel like on the one hand the managers are aware and expect this from him as some sort of test, but on the other hand the managers might not be aware and the new guy doesn't know this is peculiar in the U.S. and not required.
